Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Breathfolk is a breath-led practice run by Nicola Griffiths. This privacy policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, how it is used and the choices you have about your information.

What information I collect

When you book a gathering, contact me, join a mailing list or otherwise interact with Breathfolk, I may collect information including your name, email address, telephone number, booking details and information you choose to provide through contact or booking forms.

For some breath-led gatherings, I may also ask for relevant health or participation information so that I can consider whether practices need to be adapted and support your participation appropriately. Please only provide information that is relevant to your participation.

Payment information is processed securely by the payment provider used at checkout. Breathfolk does not receive or store your full card details.

The website may also collect technical information through cookies and similar technologies. You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie controls on this website.

How I use your information

I use personal information where necessary to manage bookings and payments, communicate with you about something you have booked or enquired about, provide Breathfolk gatherings and services, respond to questions, maintain appropriate business records and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Where you have specifically chosen to receive marketing emails, I may also use your details to send you Breathfolk news, gatherings and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

I do not sell your personal information.

Health and participation information

Health information is treated with particular care and is only collected where relevant to the breath practices or gathering you are taking part in. It is used to help me consider participation, adaptations and appropriate facilitation.

Where health information is requested, I will ask for your explicit consent to use that information for this purpose.

Who your information may be shared with

I use trusted services to operate Breathfolk, including services for website hosting, bookings, payments, email and administration. These providers may process personal information on my behalf where necessary to provide their services.

Information may also be disclosed where I am legally required to do so.

How long I keep information

I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting or safeguarding requirements. Different types of information may therefore be kept for different periods.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask for a copy of information I hold about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, ask for information to be deleted in certain circumstances, restrict or object to some uses of your information, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis on which information is being used.

If you would like to exercise any of these rights or have a question about how your information is handled, please contact me.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
